Tuscan Style Decorating

Tuscany Italian Hall Table
Tuscan Style Decorating is one of my favorite looks in a home of all time. I simply love the colors of the warm and rich earth tones, the golden yellows, wine colored reds and the accents of the olive greens. But it goes way beyond the colors. There are lots of texture in a Tuscan style of decorating from the terra cotta tiles on the floors to the textured walls, they all play a part in this warm and inviting look.

The Tuscan accents will add even more interest completing the design. This is one style of decorating that I will never grow tired of no matter how many times I see a Tuscan style home.

Bruder Toy Trucks

I have found the perfect toy truck, Bruder Toy Trucks. They are the most realistic, well designed toys you can find anywhere. For little boys, and big ones too, that love playing with trucks, these are the ultimate toy.

They are huge! And did I say that the Bruder Toy Trucks are so life like that you would think they were real. They look as if you should be able to crawl right in and drive around in one.

Built in Germany, the Bruder Toy Trucks have that high standard of quality that will insure they will last for years. And the attention to detail is superb.

If you have a young boy in your life, you have to get him a Bruder Toy Truck.

The Principles of Decorating and Interior Design

Whether you are working with existing furnishings and fabrics or starting from scratch with an empty room, you should always use the elements and principles of decorating and design as a guide in choosing everything that goes into the decor. The elements are your tools, much like hammers and saws are the basics to a carpenter. The elements of design include space, line, form, color, and texture. The principles of decorating relate to how you use these elements. The principles of design are balance, emphasis, rhythm, proportion and scale, and harmony and unity.
